Mr. Dumrong Uawithya who is the 6 child of Mr. Chai was dedicated to
running the Quarry in Saraburi at the age of 17. Due to his hands on
experience Mr. Dumrong became respected as the pioneer in Drilling and
Blasting by the Quarry industry.

Following the continuous request for his quidance and recommendation on
Quarry machinery and explosives; Mr. Dumrong decided to set up
Uawithya Machinery on 17 March 1968 which was the first company to
import commercial explosives into Thailand.

To reduce the risk of unreliable shipping and to increase safety of
transportation Mr. Dumrong obtained an explosives manufacturing license
and set up Chai Explosives on 13 September 1974.

Chai Explosives is the only company in Thailand to manufacture a
complete range of explosives and explosives accessories under the ISO
9002 standard. As well as the high quality of the raw material used the
whole process right down to our delivery trucks are designed in accordance
with the ISO 9002 standard.

Chai’s technical support team is comprised of experienced Mining
Engineers; the Blast Pro team's aim is to deliver the most practical solution
to our customer for increasing productivity and lowering cost.
Blast Pro are also dedicated in bringing safety to all quarry operations in
Thailand.
